The
festival of Dhanteras is celebrated on Kartik Krishna Trayodashi. On this day
people worship Lord Dhanvantari and light a lamp for Yamraj. Dhanteras is also
known as Dhantrayodashi. The festival of Dhanteras is also celebrated as the
birthday of the god of Ayurveda.
Dhanteras Puja Vidhi
According
to Skandpuran, the fear of premature death ends by giving a lamp to Yamraj at
the door of the house in Kartik Krishna Trayodashi during Pradoshkal. On this
day, the whole law is the law to worship Goddess Lakshmi and Kubera, the god of
wealth (Dhanteras Puja Vidhi). It is believed that on this day worshiping
Lakshmi Ji during Pradoshkal, she stays at home.

मृत्युना
पाशदण्डाभ्यां कालेन च मया सह।
त्रयोदश्यां
दीपदानात सूर्यज: प्रीयतामिति॥

Suryanandanam
Yama should be pleased with death, loop, punishment, Kaal and Lakshmi by
donating the Trayodashi. Lakshmi Ji is also pleased by this mantra.
